Rebecca was born in 1982 in Castleton, Derbyshire and has been painting since childhood -
and has had a love for
painting flora and fauna for as long as she can remember. After studying for her degree in Fine Art, Painting
and Drawing at the University of Huddersfield, Rebecca took a PGCE in Art and Design at Manchester Metropolitan
University and has been teaching Art and Design in Secondary Schools in Derbyshire since.
In 2009 Rebecca realised her ultimate dream and opened her own Art Gallery. Perfect Petals is situated in
the beautiful surroundings of Eyam Hall´s Craft centre and
Rebecca can often be found there creating works of Art and offering friendly painting tips and advice.
Rebecca´s paintings embrace the beauty of flowers and aspire to represent their aesthetic qualities -
Scientific accuracy is not of the foremost importance. She has a passion for using strong vibrant
colours and her paintings are directly observed from garden flowers, wild flowers and exotic blooms.
Rebecca enjoys painting in watercolour and oil paints but acrylics are her firm favourite. She builds very
detailed flat, smooth layers next to large expanses of flat colour and so her bold floral works look striking at a
distance but becomes even more rewarding at close range.

Louise Jannetta
(www.louisejannetta.co.uk)
Louise is an artist and illustrator living and working in Buxton Derbyshire. She was a traditional
upholsterer but always managed to find time to paint and draw. Louise decided that in order to achieve a high
standard, art must become her main priority, a total commitment and now accepts the irresistible desire to create images
through whatever media it requires.
Although Louise loves freedom and expression, she also loves the constraints of watercolour as much as the abandon of
pastels. She is interested in pattern and colour and loves texture and vibrancy, and is happy to employ any media
that enables this; paints, pastels, plastics, tissues, inks, holistic cards, fabrics; the list goes on and the
possibilities are infinite.
Louise is bursting with a multitude of ideas, including ideas for children´s books that she has carried around
in her head for years. At last she has the time to invest in these, and other, projects.

Mark was born in Stoke on Trent in 1968. At the age of 14 he took his first landscape photograph in
Llandudno North Wales on his mum's Agfa 126 camera. He didn't realise at the time just what effect
this would have in the future.
